'STRINE: Speaking Australian

"Ozzies" have a unique way of stating things and speak like no others. It is quite charming and captivating. My personal favorites are "brekkie" for breakfast and "nibblies" for snacks and of course there are the more well known such as "barbie" for barbecue, "sheila" for woman, and "no worries." Here are a few basics that will get you going: "'Ow yer goin'?" = How are you?, "G'day" = good day, "cuppa" = tea, "bugger" = damn, "roobar" is a bumper to lessen the damage from kangaroos you may encounter, "petrol" = gasoline, "knackered" means very tired, and "Good onya" = Good for you.
